The cutest pugs at the party!
My pumpkin cake I made for the party! It looks cute but was pretty gooey in the middle, even though I stuck a toothpick in the middle. Oh well!

Halloween Party!

On Saturday evening, Jason and I hosted a Halloween party for our young adult group at church. Our groups consists of young adults college-aged through thirties and includes both married couples and singles. It it a great group!

We had a great turn-out--somewhere around 25 people. Most everyone showed up in costume, which was great fun! The winner of "best costume" was a bubble bath--our friend wore a white sweatsuit with white balloons attached. She was also wearing soap, a sponge and a rubber ducky. Very cute and creative!

Jason and I were the Incredibles! We plan to dress up on Halloween to pass out candy also. We are super excited--we have never had trick-or-treaters before!

And we had the cutest pugs at the party! Oscar was a prisoner and Daisy was a lady bug. Poor Daisy, though--her costume didn't fit too well. She is just too big around her chest!

(I am trying to post pictures but Blogger is not cooperating. Will try again later!)

Happy Halloween!

Greetings, and welcome to the Halloween edition of Bloggy Parade of Homes! We love Halloween at our house and love Halloween decor. We aren't quite finished (spider webs and more lights to come) but here is where we are now.

Our front porch with the lights. I found the arch, the big spider and the "boo" sign all on clearance at Linens and Things for $10 each! I love bargains!

The Halloween candles have taken over the candlesticks!

We have many more decorations but Blogger decided to stop cooperating, so I will add more later. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Another Winter Wonderland!

Well, it is snowing again here in Denver! It seems to be more snow this time and is very wet and heavy. But it is very beautiful! And one of the ski resorts we go to has gotten 15.5 inches of snow already out of this storm, and it is still snowing!

Stayed tuned in for the Halloween Bloggy Parade of Homes tomorrow to get a sneak peak at our Halloween decor!

Guess Where We Went?!

To our first Broncos' game!

Jason and I attended our first NFL game on Sunday night. The Broncos played the Raiders, and it was great fun! The weirdest thing happened, though. We were there a few minutes early and found our seats (up at the very tip top, one row from the top). We sat down and ate some dinner (brats and nachos, yum). People were streaming in all around us, and the seatholders to the left of Jason came in and sat down. We looked over, and it was one of our neighbors! Crazy, isn't it?! Out of all 76,125 seats, we were right next to someone we know. Unbelievable!

We had a great time and look forward to the next time we are able to go to a game.

I now have my very own pair of Crocs! Yippeeeeeeee!! I read one of her posts about the new Mary Jane style Crocs and thought they sounded very cute. I hadn't seen any until last week. We went to REI to buy our ski passes and look at their ski stuff, and they had them! I am now a proud new owner of a pair of black Mary Jane crocs. They are SOOOOO comfy and are actually pretty cute (as far as Crocs go). And I am supporting a Colorado-based company. I am so happy with my purchase and glad that she mentioned these on her blog!

Tonight Jason and I are going to a Barlow Girl and Matthew West concert. Are you guys familiar with them? They are Christian music artists and are great. I especially love Barlow Girl. Should be a fun time! Hope everyone has a wonderful and blessed weekend!

Birthday Celebrations

We had a fun time celebrating Jason's birthday! Monday night, we celebrated early with sushi--yummy! We had way too much food but it sure was good. And I tried plum wine for the first time, which wasn't bad!

Tuesday night (his real birthday), instead of getting Jason a cake, I got him birthday cake remix from Cold Stone. Have you guys ever had that? It is SO GOOD! It starts with cake batter ice cream, which is super yummy by itself, then they mix in brownies, chocolate fudge syrup and sprinkles. It is almost to die for and definitely worth the thousand or so calories. Yummy! My birthday gift to Jason (as you can see modeled here) was a Broncos jersey for him to wear to the game in about a week. He had no idea what I got him, which was fun, because he is very hard to buy for and very hard to surprise!

Then we went to Starbucks. Jason received several Starbucks cards for his birthday so we went and spent some time there and relaxed. Not too much excitement but a fun and relaxing birthday.

Computer Blues

Greetings friends! I have some sad, sad news. Our computer isn't working! It all started last week when I was trying to post pictures of my brother on his birthday. All I was getting when I tried to post pictures was a small black box with a red x in the middle. Then I started to notice all the blogs I read had the same thing instead of pictures. I thought it was a blogger problem, but it seems to be a problem with our computer. Jason tried to fix it, but things just became worse and worse until our computer was doing nothing! That is where we are right now, but hopefully it will be all fixed soon. I can't even check my email--sad day! So, I can't wait to see all of your pictures. Thank goodness things are still okay at work!
