Hair Help!
I need your help. I am having a difficult time deciding how to wear my hair--I am not very good at decisions, so I need your help. My hair is naturally pretty straight, although I do have to use a straightener when I wear it straight to get it straight in all the right places. I grew weary of all the blowdrying and straightening several months ago, so I decided to get a perm. It has been great and is super low-maintenance, but I can't decide whether or not to stick with the permed look. It was expensive, so I feel like it is a big decision, but I just can't bring myself to go to one of the cheap places to get a perm. Too scary, too risky. So please help! Let me know which look you think is better.

I cannot believe I am about to say this (because one: I have naturally curly hair and I straighten everyday so I am pretty much against curly hair, and two: To me, curly hair is an arch enemy and I would *NEVER* side with it)
BUT...
This IS an EXCEPTION.
You look great both ways...But I *LOVE* LOVE LOVE your curly hair. They are definetely two different looks, but the curl/wave ON YOU (Not me! LOL) LOOKS THE BEST. It gives off a real free, casual, together look (ON You, NOT ME!) and I love it.
ONE VOTE FOR CURLY HAIR HERE!
(For YOU...NOT ME!) I will stick with STRAIGHT hair no matter what anyone says. LOL!

Look at those sweet puggy faces! So cute! Ok, on to the hair. I also vote for curly! I'm actually considering a perm too since I have half wavy half stick straight and I'm getting way tired of straightening every day. Those waves look great on you!

If I have to pick....it would be curly. Although sometimes with my natural wavy hair I wish it was straight. I am no help!

leah, I think the straight and the curl looks good on you. But I agree with everyone else, the perm is more "alive." That looks like a good perm. Usually I think of perms as being tight but yours looks loose and more natural. Does that perm have a name? I've been wanting to do something to my natural super straight hair but every time I get a perm it BLOWS UP way to big and looks horrible. So I'd be interested in knowing what kind of perm that is.

I like your hair both ways but the perm does so much in ways of volume for you. I actually just got my cut like your straight style and I can tell I am not going to be happy with it for the straightener never does what I want it to do and it never looks as good as the hairdresser. To me, my hair looks flat and lifeless so for you, I would go with the perm!! Looks like it might be easier as well

I like the perm. I call perms like that "Oprah hair" and I am quite envious of the looseness of the curl. My hairdresser (whom I have since fired) talked me out of perming when my hair was about your length. It's short now, but grows quickly. Now that I've seen how "unpermy" it looks, I think I am revising my goal.
Looks like the curly is winning!

I think the curly hair is winning by a long stretch! Thanks for your help--I am sure my hairdresser will thank you all as well when I give him the big check!
I am not sure if the perm has a name. I explained to my hairdresser what I wanted, and he used big huge rollers and only left the chemicals on for the shortest amount of time so it wouldn't fry it. I was soooo nervous but am very pleased with how it turned out. It is SO easy and low maintenance. The only downfall is that, sometimes if I am in a humid place, it gets really big and frizzy, but I am sure there are products for that.
So if any of you are thinking of a perm, I would say "GO FOR IT!" but make sure you have a good hairstylist and tell them exactly what you want. Good luck!

I tried to say this days ago but the comment thing wasn't working - both styles are super cute, but I'm in the curly crowd!
