Weekend Fun

Last Saturday we spent the day skiing at Crested Butte. A friend of ours had free ski passes and offered to share them with us, so we took him up on the offer. We had never been there before, so it was fun to try someplace new!

We drove to Gunnison after work on Friday and spent the night there. The drive was VERY scary (icy, windy, low visibility in spots, cars running off the road) but thankfully Jason is a very good driver. We headed to Crested Butte on Saturday morning. It was a BEAUTIFUL day--sunny and semi-warm. Plus there were no crowds! We had a wonderful time!

This is where we had dinner on the way home

It may have been our last ski day of the season, and it was a great way to end it!

  • Our ski resorts are just now closing...I think just a few are still open. ( but not for long)What a great winter season for all the skiers and boarders!
That is a cute little diner you went to....

  • Crested Butte is wonderful! I have never been there to ski, but the Wildflower Festival in July is amazing! Here is their official link: http://www.crestedbuttewildflowerfestival.com/

  • I'm glad you all made it there safely. You must REALLY love to ski to travel in those conditions!

  • Looks like fun!

I am incredibly uncooradinated. I have like...8 left feet. It's not a pretty sight.
