Viva Las Vegas!

Jason and I are taking a trip soon to Las Vegas, and I am very excited! He has been several times, but this will be my first trip there. If any of you have been and have suggestions of things we HAVE to do, please let me know!!!!

  • You HAVE to go see a Cirque du Soleil show! We saw 'O' and it was awesome! We're seeing 'Ka' on our next trip.

    We also saw 'le Reve' at the Wynn hotel, which is not technically a cirque show but very similar and also amazing!

  • you must go and see the auto collection at the imperial palace (center strip). thats one of the things that mom and dad do every time that they go to vegas.
    also, mom says, that if you hang out in front of the imperial palace they will give you free tickets to the auto collection - or if you join the imperial palace players club - free free free tickets!

  • I agree with Christine - you must see an Cirque du Soleil show. My family and I saw "O" at the Bellagio and it was wonderful! Amazing!! We also did the big aquarium in the Mandalay Bay. Lastly I loved walking around the huge Caesars Palace mall, so many stores!! Fun, fun! Hope you take pics, can't wait to see them!

  • You should go to the Bellagio Hotel's light/fountain show. It's very pretty and romantic!

  • Christine and Becky--I am trying to convince Jason to see a Cirque show, so hopefully your comments will help!

    Jemima--the auto collection sounds awesome! Thanks for the tips!

    Mrs. D--the Bellagio is definitely on my list of things to do!

    Punchy--I know! I REALLY want to go but already have a trip planned in October and November! I wish there were grants available for fun trips like the blog meet up!

    Becky--we are staying at Caesar's so there definitely be some shopping going on!

  • Oooh- I didn't know you guys are going! When do you leave? I have heard the Blue Man Group is one of the few shows that's worth the price, but I have not seen it, myself.

    And what did you think of The Little Mermaid????

  • PiG--I LOVED Little Mermaid! I thought they did a great job with the sets and costumes, and Ariel was dead-on for the movie character. I would love to see it again and sit closer next time (we were in the balcony). It was soooooo good!

  • Amen to Cirque du Soleil - it is AMAZING.

    You also must go to the old strip and see the HUGE above-head screen. I think it is one of the biggest screens in the world or something, and the light show it has is pretty cool.

    YOU MUST ALSO, see the fountains at the Bellagio, and the volcano at the Mirage. Awesome!
